Fluoride can be an important part of preventing tooth decay in patients of all ages. During your visit, we will determine your risk for dental decay by discussing your diet, home care, previous decay history, illnesses and prescription medications. Fluoride treatment can be done in the office, or at home.
In the office: Treatment can be done during your regular exam using a tray with gel or foam fluoride. A more highly concentrated fluoride varnish that is brushed onto your teeth can also be used.
At home: Options for fluoride treatment include prescription toothpastes or a daily rinse. It is important to follow all recommendations made by your dentist and to also be aware of the fluoride levels in your water.
Oral cancer can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated early. Maddison Ave Dental provides oral cancer screenings as part of your regular dental exam. There are two main risk factors for oral cancer. Smoking and tobacco use are long-term historic causes of oral cancer. In addition, the HPV-16 virus, a sexually-transmitted disease, is resulting in the fastest-growing segment of oral cancer patients being young, healthy, nonsmoking individuals.
When found early, oral cancers have an 80 to 90 percent survival rate. Dentists can be a first line of defense in identifying abnormalities in the mouth, which could be a sign of oral cancer.

AMAZING STAFF!!! So I called this dentist to request for an oral exam on my 11yr old daughter. She had a baby tooth still in her mouth with her adult tooth already grown in, which was causing so much pain in her mouth for her. I originally brought her to Wigwam Dental for the initial exam first back in May. They have been rescheduling my daughter for her "map goal" on her baby tooth extraction THREE DIFFERENT TIMES. She was suppose to be seen in September, until I gave Maddison Dental a call... The lady in the front desk that took my call, was able to schedule her in today at 2pm because of a last minute cancellation with a different client. So I brought her in, and when they took her back for an xray, they brought me back to her and Dr. Stokes and his assistant Evelyn asked of we would like for them to just go ahead and remove it right now. ๐คฏ i was in complete shock that Dr.Stokes offered to just remove it now that im there (I live in henderson btw) My mind was BLOWN with how quickly the process was done. My daughter was so happy with the process as well. Dr.Stokes and Evelyn both made her super comfortable with how nervous she was when we mentioned to do it then and there, and she wasnt in pain! Wow! What was taking Wigwam Dental 3 MONTHS to accomplish, Maddison Dental accomplished in ONE VISIT. Not to mention, our FIRST TIME VISIT! Reason I chose to go to them, is because we have Culinary ins, and not that many general dentists take that ins. So yes, Maddison Dental and ALL THEIR STAFF, made this far drive completely WORTH IT. Thank you again for such quick and amazing services to all of them! They definitely earned our business as well as an AWESOME REVIEW. ๐ค๐ Ps, their office is clean neat and orderly. Sanitation is accessible to patients and they follow the Covid protocols. ๐๐๐

I used to have all my work done at a union dentist, but Iโm really glad I found this office as my new primary. Itโs a little hard to spot the first time since it blends in, but the location is convenient. The office feels personal despite having a surprisingly large staff. You get the sense that they genuinely take pride in the care they provide and prioritize quality treatment. My first appointment did run a bit long because they were busy or fell behind and I had to leave slightly early, but the staff was very understanding and accommodating.
